I do not know if the think tank has an accessible form of output of its thoughts> But , if so I have not yet found it…

I was trying to discover whether there has been much/any discussion of the likely socio-political impact within Australia and New Zealand of them being “cut off” from the rest of the world.In order for the story-line(s) to be internally consistent and not becoming laughable to a bright audience, such impacts need to make sense …For example a quick look on the internet suggests the two countries would be able to be self-sufficient in food, although the balance of foods available might change and some things may no longer be available (this may present opportunities for some humour to be introduced if certain characters could no longer get a favourite food perhaps?) there are other points which may be able to be exploited as script prompts …

1 ships on the high seas going to Aus and NZ may have belonged to organisations/companies based in affected countries. If those companies and organisations no longer exist the ship`s captains may decide the goods now belonged to them and a ship load of clothing would represent riches for said captain and crew…or for any “warlord” who may choose to take advantage of the main chance of societal breakdown.

2 I also noted that foreign countries had been buying land in Australia to run farming schemes of their own. Would the local Aus managers of said land now claim ownership if they knew their real owners were now safely dead? Or would some other powerful unit/persons take over. This may provide a story-line for some of the dead souls come back to life…. for example a deceased King of England could not become king – but he could use his machiavellian skills to become a modern “tyrant/local warlord” with such a mindset very few living business people would be able to compete with a medieval king`s ruthlessness!

Lots of other factors could influence the new world order as I sit here and think about them but someone may already have spent ages thinking of all this in the think tank? How do I find out (and if it is not there how do I make it appear, who else in the think tank thinks this way…?
